Zwei Frauen aus Lwiw – die Schriftstellerin Natalka Sniadanko und die Musikerin Mariana Sadovska sind für einen gemeinsamen Benefiz-Abend mit Musik und Literatur zu Gast in der Akademie. In ihrem 2021 übersetzten Generationenroman Der Erzherzog, der den Schwarzmarkt regierte, Matrosen liebte und mein Großvater wurde (Haymon Verlag, Innsbruck) schließt die ukrainische Schriftstellerin Natalka Sniadanko die unterschiedlichen historischen Epochen, die die Ukraine prägen, eindrucksvoll kurz. Erzählend springt sie zwischen Lwiw und Wien, zwischen der Habsburger Monarchie, der Sowjetunion und unserer Gegenwart hin und her. Im März musste Sniadanko die Ukraine mit ihren Kindern zusammen verlassen. Derzeit ist sie Gastautorin im Deutschen Literaturarchiv Marbach. Sadovska lebt bereits seit 20 Jahren in Köln.

In ihren energiegeladenen Programmen verarbeitet sie verschiedenste Einflüsse zu – wie sie sie selbst bezeichnet – “trans­tra­di­tio­neller” Musik. Sie ist durch ukrainische Dörfer gefahren, um alte Lieder zu finden und jüdische Orte aufzusuchen. Ihre Kompositionen sind ebenso von traditioneller Musik aus der Ukraine inspiriert wie von modernen internationalen Klängen. Nun treffen sich die beiden Künstlerinnen, die schon oft miteinander gearbeitet haben, wieder, um zu lesen, zu singen und über die aktuelle Lage in der Ukraine zu sprechen.

Moderation: Jan Bürger Natalka Sniadanko wurde 1973 in Lwiw geboren. Sie studierte dort und in Freiburg i. Br., übersetzt aus dem Deutschen und Polnischen und zählt seit ihrem Debütroman Sammlung der Leidenschaften (2001) zu den bekanntesten ukrainischen Schriftstellerinnen ihrer Generation. Mariana Sadovska kam 1972 ebenfalls in Lwiw zur Welt. Sie wurde bekannt als Sängerin und Komponistin, die auf virtuose Weise traditionelle ukrainische Musik mit internationalen musikalischen Strömungen verbindet.

Allianz Kulturstiftung and Outernational in cooperation with Akademie der Künste Berlin and inm - initiative neue musik berlin e.V. are organizing a solidarity concert for Ukraine: Our thoughts are with all the sufferers of this war - inside and outside the country. Because the war against Ukraine is at the same time a war against Europe. The focus of the evening is the Outernational project "Songs of Wounding" with the Ukrainian singer Mariana Sadovska. In an extensive research, the singer and performer has made audio recordings in Ukrainian villages, exploring various singing techniques forgotten in the collective memory.Composer Max Andrzejewski has set these to new music in close dialogue with Sadovska. In addition, singers Viktoria Leléka and Ganna Gryniva will perform Ukrainian songs. Accompanying the musical part, literary and artistic voices from the region and Germany will set an example of cross-border solidarity. Among others, the author Navid Kermani will be present.

This will be followed by a discussion between Berlin's Senator for Culture Klaus Lederer, the conductor and activist Vitali Alekseenok and Esra Kücük, Managing Director of the Allianz Cultural Foundation, on funding and support opportunities for artists in exile.

Це інтерв’ю писалося кілька годин перед моїм виступом перед канцлером Оляфом Шольцом. Про Шольца, про його безхребетність, страх, цинізм - навіть не хочу тут писати… гидко і гірко. Гірко, що сьогодні так розганяється лист німецьких "інтелектуалів" , пристаркуватих соціал-демократів та лівих, котрим так муляє наша сміливість і наші перемоги.
